DANCE
I danced on the mountain today
in the clearing where I will live.
I embraced the air around me
and rejoiced in the clouds overhead.
I danced on the mountain today
and lifted my hands to touch
your face in the leaves of the trees
and your smile in the rocks underfoot.
I danced on the mountain today
and felt the power of joy
surge through each cell of my body
as you blessed the holy ground.
So I shall dance in the sunshine today
and in the rain and snow tomorrow.
I shall dance in peace, even in pain
and my prayer will speak without words.
Dance on the mountains and down the valleys;
dance under stars and on bright, sunny days.
Dance slowly, dance gently, alone,
and dance to the God who is Love.
